Camera and Internal Storage
The Alcatel One Touch Flash is given a 13 MP snapper at the rear with auto focus and LED flash for enhanced photography and support for recording FHD 1080p videos. The handset also carries a front facing 5 MP selfie snapper onboard for clicking stunning selfies and video conferencing as well. While we cannot assure a picture quality of a high end 13 MP snapper as in the premium offerings, we believe it to render a decent performance in its class. The internal storage capacity of the smartphone stands at 8 GB that is standard for the pricing of the device. Anyways, there is support for expandable storage up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card.
Processor and Battery
A 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor with Mali 450 GPU is incorporated at the heart of the Alcatel offering. Also, there is a moderate 1 GB RAM to provide a fluid experience with smooth multi-tasking. This combination of raw is expected to make the smartphone a capable performer. Keeping things juiced up in the Alcatel One Touch Flash is a 3,200 mAh battery which we think is pretty good for a device in this price range and it should be capable of pumping acceptable backup under moderate usage.
Display and Features
The handset comes with a 5.5 inch IPS display with full lamination that has a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Though this is standard with 294 ppi pixel density, the IPS panel will render good viewing angles and full lamination will make it less reflective. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat platform and packs usual connectivity features such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual SIM. The MediaTek HotKnot feature can also be seen in the Alcatel One Touch Flash and this will enable two phones to exchange photos and videos by simply placing the screens together.
Comparison
This phone will compete against phones like iBerry Auxus Aura A1, Wickedleak Wammy Neo Youth, Xolo 8X 1000 and Celkon Millennia Epic and upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note.

Price and Conclusion
The Alcatel One Touch Flash is priced at Rs 9,999 that appears to be pretty reasonable for an octa-core smartphone with decent specifications. The handset packs almost all the desired aspects to compete with the other octa-core smartphones in the same price bracket. Also, the incorporation of a voluminous battery makes the device a superior one in its class. However, there are few shortcomings such as exclusivity to Flipkart and the lack of a huge service network in the country.
