Micromax has now started teasing Doodle 4, the next iteration which should go official within next few weeks. Trusted source for all smartphone news, @MaheshTelecom has let slide that Doodle 4 will be priced at 9,499 INR. The retailer has also revealed Specification and hardware details as mentioned in the table below. Last year, Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 wasn’t a fascinating upgrade over Doodle 2. In fact, it dialed down on raw hardware specs reducing native storage from 16 GB to 4 GB, RAM from 1 GB to 512 MB and reducing quad core to dual core. What can be expected this year?

Well, times have changed for the better and this year, Doodle 4 should definitely be a significant upgrade over Doodle 3. It doesn’t make any sense for Micromax to backtrack again in today’s market, where Chinese competition and Motorola has opened gates for jaw drawing hardware even for a budget price. A phablet-esque 6 Inch display and a capacitive stylus to doodle should make the cut. Let’s wait and watch. There will be several more teasers till time for product announcement arrives.
