Display and Processor

Furthermore, this display panel is scratch resistant and it arrives with double tap to wake feature. On the other hand, the Nokia X is given a 4 inch IPS LCD panel that features a similar resolution resulting in a pixel density of 233 pixels per inch. The displays on both the handsets feature brightness control to render good user experience. Obviously, with the ClearBlack display technology, the Nokia X2 becomes readable under direct sunlight as this tech uses a sequence of polarizing layers to eliminate reflections When it comes to the raw hardware segment, Nokia X2 is stuffed with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset supplemented with 1 GB of RAM that is becoming a common aspect of the low-end and mid-range smartphones. In comparison, the Nokia X equips a Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon S4 Play chipset housing 1 GHz dual-core Cortex A15 processor paired with 512 MB of RAM. Obviously, the 1 GB of RAM in the current generation model will pave way for better multi-tasking and smooth performance.

Camera and Internal Storage

On the photography department, Nokia X2 features a better 5 MP camera at its back with flash and auto focus. Also on board is a front-facing VGA snapper that can help in making video calls of basic quality. Going by comparison, the previous generation model has a basic 3.15 MP primary snapper that has WVGA video recording ability at 480p and can shoot panorama shots. There is no front-facing camera on the handset, which is a major problem for those who look forward to make video calls. The storage requirements of both the handsets are handled by the low 4 GB of internal storage space that can be further expanded by another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Hence, there is no difference between the two in this segment.

Battery and Features

There is a 1,800 mAh battery in the X2 that is claimed by the firm to deliver up to 4 hours of net browsing time. The Nokia X houses a 1,500 mAh battery under its hood that is rated to deliver up to 10.5 hours of talk time on 3G, 13.5 hours of talk time on 2G and 408 hours of standby time. In terms of software, the Nokia X runs on AOSP based on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. The inclusion of the Home button renders efficient multi-tasking as the users can simply tap on it rather than long pressing the back button.
