While the official changelog says there are improvements to the camera UI and photo quality, there are other optimizations too. OnePlus is rolling out this update for increased stability of various functions on the OxygenOS. The update was announced on the OnePlus forum. The update will be incremental and will reach everyone soon in a phased manner.

OnePlus 5T OxygenOS 4.7.4 Update

With the unveiling of the OnePlus 5T, the company stepped into the trend of 18:9 display. While the phone itself is powerful, the software is being brushed up and the cameras being optimized. The latest OxygenOS 4.7.4 OTA update is focussed on camera performance. The official changelog says that there will be improvements in the camera UI and the image quality will also be improved. Earlier, there were rumours that OnePlus is working to improve low light imaging as well as the front camera performance of the OnePlus 5T. In the update, you will find optimizations done to the audio output from speakers as well as earphones. The Face unlocking is also polished and more stable now. The changelog also accounts for WiFi battery usage optimization and general bug fixes and system improvements. The fingerprint sensor and GPS abilities are also stabilized along with optimizations for the vibration motor. OnePlus also laid key emphasis upon subtle but powerful vibration motor even at the time of the OnePlus 5. While the Android 8.0 Oreo Beta update for OnePlus 5T is on the way, the current update is based on Android Nougat. The update is stated to be rolled out in an incremental manner. This means it will reach a small number of users today and will roll out for the masses soon.
