Earlier, last week we reported that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro had Low Volume output issue. However, Xiaomi quickly addressed the issue and rolled out MIUI 9.2.5.0 update along with February security patch as well. Now, some Redmi Note 5 users have reported on Mi Community India about the new issues they are facing and seeking the solution from the company.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Note 5 Pro issues
Talking about the latest issues first is the gaming related and users claim that the phone detects an automatic controller and disables the on-screen one. “In my Redmi Note 5 (3gb) I can’t play games like modern combat 5 because it mistakenly detects that I am using a gamepad and I am not! Help me pls do something,” writes a user on Mi forum. Another user posted, “I have tried modern combat 5 myself and the game automatically detects a controller and hence disables the on-screen controller and the game is not playable. Kindly look into this bug and fix it asap. Many other games aren’t playable.” Apart from the gaming issues, some users have also reported that gyroscope sensor is not working on their devices after MIUI 9.2.5.0 update. Moreover, there is a selfie camera issue as well. In another post, a user writes that Selfies taken on his device are black. Moreover, for some users, their phone is getting locked even while some app is in use. There is no official comment from Xiaomi on these issues as of now. As soon as the company acknowledges these issues and rolls out fixes, we will update you about it. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is definitely a good smartphone with some impressive features, but some software issues have been simmering for a while now. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro will go on next sale on March 14 via Flipkart and Mi.com.
