MyJio is now in the category of popular apps such as Hotstar, which also 100 million downloads. Notably, the app is currently listed as ninth “Top Free” in Android Apps list on Google Play Store. It is to be noted that compared to MyJio’s 100 million downloads, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India, and Idea Cellular have 10 million downloads each. MyJio app offers access to a host of Jio apps like music, chat, cinema and more, unlike the other telecom’s apps that manage only account and offer recharge service.
These figures will surely help to extend its network. Reliance Jio is planning to grow its network across the rural areas of the country. Earlier, the company had also launched an affordable Feature Phone which supports 4G VoLTE. “MyJio has crossed 100 million downloads on Google Play. It is the second Indian mobile application to cross 100 million download mark and first self-care mobile application from an operator,” a source at Reliance Jio who did not wish to reveal identity told PTI.
