Gionee recently launched its latest flagship device, dubbed as the M2017 at the MWC 2017. The M2017 is aimed at high end segment and has been priced at CNY 6,999, which is approximately Rs. 68,400. This is for the regular variant. The company has also built another variant with Italian custom made alligator leather back cover and sapphire glass for CNY 16,999, which is approximately Rs. 1,66,000. This high end premium smartphone is aimed at those consumers who want a premium looking smartphone with the best specs. It comes with a whopping 7,000 mAh battery, a 5.7 inch quad HD Super AMOLED display and a dual camera setup at the back. It runs on an Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor clubbed with Adreno 510 GPU. The device comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

High Resolution Super AMOLED Display

The Gionee M2017 comes with a 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The device comes with a pixel density of ~515 PPI. The display is also curved on both the sides, giving it that extra edge (no pun intended).

Massive Battery

The Gionee M2017 comes with a huge 7,000 mAh battery. While this may seem good, it adds a lot of weight to the device. The device also comes with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

Premium Build and Design

The design and build of the device is very premium. it comes with a metal body. It has a leather finish on its back.

Dual Cameras

The Gionee M2017 comes with Dual 12 MP + 13 MP camera setup on the back. It comes with 2x optical zoom, phase detection autofocus and LED flash. Camera features on the device include geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR. On the front, the device sports an 8 MP secondary camera.

Unique Look

The device looks unique and stands out. It looks different compared to other devices. The device with its metal body and leather rear finish looks very good. Gionee has also worked to include a variant with premium Italian custom alligator back cover and sapphire glass.

Good UI with Premium Themes

The Gionee M2017 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with AmigoOS 3.5 skinned on top. The company has bundled a few premium themes with the phone.

Abundant Storage

The Gionee M2017 comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage on the device cannot be expanded.
