The latest rumors are suggesting a new smartphone is going to launch soon, which is expected to be dubbed as Mi A2 in India and it will be launched in China as the Mi 6X. Xiaomi’s spokesperson stated in an email sent to Gadgets 360, “Mi A1 is not discontinued in India, and it will return for sale soon.” But when the smartphone is coming back is still unclear to us. The Xiaomi Mi A1 was launched last year under the Android One campaign, the smartphone got released with the Android 7.1.2 Nougat running out of the box. The smartphone got the Android 8.0 Oreo update recently via OTA update. The price of the smartphone is Rs. 14,999, it got an official price cut in December last year which brought down the price to Rs. 13,999. The Xiaomi Mi A1 features a 5.5 inches full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and comes with a dual camera setup at the back which includes two 12MP sensors with f/2.2 aperture and 2X optical zoom. The selfie camera is a 5MP shooter with real-time beautification mode. The upcoming successor of Mi A1, (Mi A2 or Mi 6X) is expected to feature a 5.99 inch full HD+ display. It rumored to come with a dual camera setup running on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a 2,910mAh battery.
