Notably, as suggested by the leaks, the Mi Mix 3 comes with a magnetic slider design. The front camera slides out via pop-up magnetic slider mechanism. Also, apart from opening up camera, it acts as a shortcut for many tasks and you can customize it to take a selfie, open the app drawer, make a call etc. The Mi Mix 3 5G version will come in 2019.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has a ceramic back panel. Up front, it has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and it has a 93.4% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it gets Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU, up to 10GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 on top.
In terms of camera, it has a 12MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, dual LED flash, 4-axis OIS, optical zoom, and a 12MP secondary rear camera with Samsung S5K3M3+ sensor, 1.0 µm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture, and 2X zoom. Up front, it has a 24MP primary camera with Sony IMX576 sensor and a 2MP secondary DOF camera with selfie light. The dual-SIM phone has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (4×4 MU-MIMO), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, and USB Type-C as connectivity options. It is powered by a 3200mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0+ fast charging and 10W Qi wireless charging support.
Price, availability
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 price starts at CNY 3,299 (Rs. 34,800 approx.) for the 6GB+128GB variant. The 8GB+128GB variant costs CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs. 37,900) while the 8GB+256GB model is priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly RS. 42,100). The top-end 10GB+256GB model also known as ‘The Palace Museum’ Special Edition costs CNY 4999 (Rs. 52,770 approx.) as it comes with 24K gold-coated bronze statue. The Mi Mix 3 will be available in Onyx Black, Jade Green, and Sapphire Blue color options. The 6GB and 8GB RAM variants will go on sale in China from November 1. The Mi Mix 3 availability, price in India and other markets is not yet announced.
